Become a ‘Friend of the Queens Park Theatre’
The Friends of the Queens Park Theatre was inaugurated shortly after the opening of the Theatre in 1982.
The Geraldton Town Council, as it was then known, called for some interested community members to form a group to support the Theatre.
In November 2007, the Friends celebrated the 25th Silver Jubilee of the Theatre with a joyful grand gathering of Friends. In March 2012 the Friends marked the 30th Anniversary of the QPT with a “Pearl Celebration Dinner” all in the magnificently decorated lower foyer of the QPT, decked out with pearls and fairy lights. In 2022, the QPT Club is enthused by the 40th year of activity in our beloved QPT, a year-long Ruby Anniversary.
The Friends of the Queens Park Theatre love the QPT, the Performing Arts and Films. Known also as QPT CLUB, we are the drivers of the fabulous Pizza Wine & Film Nights since 2010 and other film offerings.
Throughout the years the Friends group has provided support to the Theatre by way of equipment, suppers and sponsorship of shows.
Considering the income of the Friends is solely reliant upon memberships, this is a reflection of the dedication of the Committee over the years.

Membership is for one FULL year from when you pay. Both GOLD & SILVER memberships receive the bi‑monthly Newsletter, early advice of up-coming shows.
A QPT Club Membership is the gift that keeps giving for an entire year. If you have any friends or family who enjoy live theatre a QPT Club Membership is the perfect gift.
To become a member of the Friends simply fill out the membership form and return to the Queens Park Theatre or the Civic Centre Customer Service Centre, or email/post directly to the address provided.
Preferred payments are done directly into the Friends account – as per details on the form. In person payments in cash or EFTPOS may be made at the Civic Centre Customer Service Counter or at the QPT Box Office

Friends of QPT CONSTITUTION
The Friends of QPT Constitution (or rules) is a public document registered with WA Association Online.
It had to be reviewed and updated by June 2019.
The Friends used the standard constitution proposed by the WA Government with only the first page showing the specific details pertaining to The Friends of QPT.
That first page, with the Friends details, was included in the agenda for our 2019 AGM.
The full constitution document was tabled at the AGM of 22 March 2019.
The Association received a ‘Statement of Receipt’ from the WA Association Online.
