Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the following box office sites locations during their business opening hours:

  • City of Greater Geraldton Civic Centre
  • Geraldton Regional Library
  • Geraldton Visitor Centre

If purchasing online, the standard is for collection from the Civic Centre or at the box office before the show.

The QPT Box office is open for two hours before any show.

Can I print my tickets at home?

When purchasing tickets online, you may choose the “Print-At-Home” option when available.

Purchases that include concessional tickets (Friends of QPT, Concessions, Students) are not allowed to be printed at home as proof of concession needs to be shown at collection.

Can I have my tickets posted to me?

When purchasing tickets online, you may opt to pay a “Postage & Handling” fee of $6 and your tickets will be printed and posted to you.

This service is purely optional.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, gift vouchers are available at any time during the year. They can be purchased online or in person at any of our box office locations.

They are valid for three (3) full years from the date of purchase and redeemable for any production ticketed by Queens Park Theatre.

How many seats are available?

The theatre auditorium has a seating capacity of 656 which includes the box and circle seating.

How long before the show do I need to arrive?

The foyer bar is usually open one hour prior to the show with the doors opening to the auditorium most commonly 20 minutes prior to the performance starting.

What if I arrive late?

Some shows do have a lock-out, but an usher will allow you into the auditorium at the next suitable break in the performance.

Is there a bar?

Yes. Our bar offers a selection of beer, wine and spirits as well as water, non-alcoholic beverages, lollies, chips and snacks.

Can I bring food and drink into the auditorium?

Food and drink purchased from the QPT bar may be consumed in the theatre. Please exercise courtesy towards other patrons of the theatre when managing paper noises and your drinks inside the auditorium. Thank you.

Can I take a camera into the theatre?

Cameras and recording devices are not permitted to be used in the auditorium at any time. You may take photographs in the foyer.

Is QPT accessible by wheelchair?

Yes. Accessible entry to the lower foyer level is via a ramp style path and the southern door has wheelchair access. Accessible seating is limited and should be booked via an email or phone. Contact our Box Office Administration on (08) 9956 6662 or qpt@cgg.wa.gov.au

Can I bring my assistance dog?

Yes, Assistant Dogs are welcome.

What if I have a hearing impairment?

There is a hearing- loop assistance available upon request.

Is there medical assistance?

There is a defibrillator and first aid kit located at the foyer bar and first aid trained Theatre staff for all our shows and events.

Can I take my pram into the theatre?

No, unfortunately there isn’t sufficient room at the side of the auditorium to store prams or walking frames.

Walking frames and prams may be brought into the foyer of the theatre, and will be kept there during the performance. Our Front of House staff will be available to assist.

Do you have a lost property box?

Our lost property box is situated in the QPT box office at circle level. Please call to (08) 9956 6662 to enquire further.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

No. City-Free Wi-Fi is currently unavailable at Queens Park Theatre.

Can you help with production for my event?

Yes, our friendly production staff are available to assist with events. Please refer to our Venue Hire section for more information.

Are there any discounts for not for profits?

We provide heavily discounted rates on our venue hire fee if you are a local not-for-profit group, school or community group. Please phone or email our Box Office Administration on (08) 9956 6662 or to learn more.
