Two stunning performers and a tribute to the GREATS OF THE AMERICAN SONGBOOKS.
Like most jazz singers, Libby Hammer is well-versed in the works of the great American composers. She has performed tribute shows to composers George Gershwin and Cole Porter, and lyricists Lorenz Hart and Johnny Mercer, one of her particular favourites.
More often than not, Libby teams up with jazz vocalist Ali Bodycoat to take listeners for a light-hearted and poignant trip down memory lane, peeking into a few forgotten nooks and crannies along the way. Ali and Libby ensure that the great works of the Tin Pan Alley tunesmiths are still fresh, relevant and ravishing for music lovers, even after seventy years.
Libby and Ali will be accompanied on stage by a pianist.
Just in time for a little Christmas Cheers, Ali & Libby will perform a few Christmas songs to greet the 2018 Silly Season !!!
Morning Melodies will start at 10am with a morning tea and chatting with friends in the QPT foyer.
The performance will start at 11am sharp and is one hour long.
Tickets are available in person at the Civic Centre, the Library or the Visitor Centre or online. Adult $20, Concessions (Pensioners, Seniors, Health Care Card & Students) $15.
