Dear patrons,
The City has been closely monitoring the WA COVID-19 Roadmap and its implications for the reopening of the Queens Park Theatre (QPT). Based on the latest health advice, Phase 5 of the Roadmap, which was due to be implemented on 29 August, has been delayed for a further two months.
Guided by the state government’s directions and taking into account ongoing uncertainty, the City has determined the QPT auditorium will remain closed until the end of December 2020 for any shows and events that require a seated audience.
This decision affects all tentative bookings for the QPT auditorium currently in the calendar to the end of December 2020. The only activities that will be delivered at QPT during this period are those accessing alternative spaces in the facility outside the auditorium or delivering a modified program.
Please note that this temporary ‘end date’ is also provisional and these conditions may be extended into 2021 subject to health and state government advice at that time.
